Jobs

Anjana has a dedicated Jobs section, accessible from the corresponding icon, which facilitates tracking of tasks requested by users in bulk.

The information displayed on this screen for each job is:

• job name: automatically generated by Anjana or edited by the user

• source: name of the file in the case of creation or editing via Excel 

• job type:

  • object creation with Excel

  • object creation with automatic import

  • object editing with Excel

  • bulk attribute editing

  • bulk sending

• object type and subtype for which the action is performed

• user who requested the job

• start and end date

• status

  • success if the action on all objects was completed correctly

  • error if the action on any of the objects failed

  • pending if the action has not yet been completed

• total: number of objects on which the action is performed

  • if the action is on datasets, the total includes the number of datasets and the dataset_fields they contain

• progress: showing the advancement in the execution of the action. By hovering the mouse over the progress bar, the user can see the number of correct, failed, or in-progress objects

• link to the job detail

• file download: only in the case of creation or editing via Excel. The downloaded Excel file contains everything the original Excel file contained plus two additional columns to indicate the result of the action

This screen includes a search box and filters at the top to help users manage the list by reducing the number of jobs displayed.

Additionally, to view the progress of jobs in real time, clicking “Refresh now” updates the list and the status of each job.

Job detail

From each of the jobs displayed on the previous screen, it is possible to navigate to its detail view to see the result of the action executed on each of the objects.

Additionally, this screen is accessible from the user confirmation when performing any bulk job:

• from the object creation panel when confirming creation with Excel or with automatic import 

• from the user's workspace when confirming bulk editing, editing with Excel, or bulk sending

The job status shows whether the action has been executed successfully, is currently running, or has failed — in which case a dropdown displays the reason for the error to the user. Errors may be caused by incomplete or incorrect metadata, a connection failure, etc.

As with the Jobs screen, jobs that used an Excel file display the corresponding file name in the header along with a download link.

Additionally, to reload the job information when the number of objects is large and the action may take several seconds or minutes, the user has the “Refresh now” option available.
