Governance Operating Model

Introduction

The governance operating model in Anjana Data defines how responsibilities are organised and executed within the organisation's data governance framework. Its correct configuration is essential to ensure that each profile has the appropriate functions, permissions and workflows assigned, guaranteeing traceability, quality and security in data use.

This section details the steps and considerations necessary to configure the different elements that make up the operating model:

  • Governance roles: definition of the different profiles and their responsibilities.

  • Permissions: parameterisation of the actions that each role can perform, configurable at a granular level by object type (e.g. dataset, report, term, DSA) and by module/functionality (e.g. workflows, lineage, marketplace, configuration panel).

  • Data domains (organisational units): segmentation of data assets and assignment of custody through roles and authorisations.

  • Workflows: definition of workflows that support validation and approval processes.

  • Notifications: configuration of automatic alerts to inform users about events and pending actions.

The goal of this configuration is to provide the organisation with a coherent, operational governance model aligned with its needs, ensuring that data is managed in an orderly, secure and effective manner.
